We love this game. I love this game. My guitar had a defect with the strummer but I went to the EA games website and contacted them. It is so much fun. Take the time to do the tutorials and you'll become a pro as my husband I did. They sent me a postage paid box and I took that to UPS and am now just waiting for a replacement guitar. Other than that, ROCK ON.
It is better in a lot of ways, and has some significant improvements to the included hardware.I got this the day it came out, so I'm not surprised I got a faulty guitar. Great game that I highly recommend to pretty much anyone. If you are deciding whether or not it's worth it to get this one or Rock Band 2, get the second one. Getting it replaced was pretty quick and painless, so I can't really complain. Besides, I hear they got most of that fixed after the first few batches.
I received my rock band, but out of the box, the guitar is not working and i will now need to return it to get it fixed. not fun
I was never one who was able to get into Guitar Hero for various reasons, but when Rockband came out my girlfriend convinced me that we had to get it.And man, what a good thing we did. It has become the hit of the parties we throw, as well as a source of fun just between her and I, and while she rocks at everything, I suck at so hard at the drums. But it is still fun when you lose. The drums can be a bit quirky, and my guitar after so many plays only works if I strum UP, but it is more than ok.Ive been tempted to buy Rockband2, but it doesnt seem like a major upgrade, so I will wait for Rockband 3.
It's awesome to have other options that just playing the guitar. I already reviewed this game (only) for the 360, but I'll review the Special Edition set too since this is the product I actually bought. I bought the game for myself right after Rock Band 2 came out. I recommend it for everyone. I cracked the foot petal in half, and then my girfriend's RB foot petal (works with my 360 version too) in half too. I wanted both 1 & 2, so I bought the RB2 game (only) and the Rock Band (1) Special Edition version for the complete band set since it was $20 cheaper than the RB2's Special Edition.
Or maybe I just rock too hard. After playing Rock Band (PS2 version) for the first time at my girlfriend's house, I was hooked. My only complaint is that the RB drum petal breaks too easily. But I'm kicking myself now that I didn't get the RB2 Special Edition instead for that cool Guitar finish. The game is so fun. Lol, but seriously.
5/5.
